Waterhouse took up the role as head of Fidelity’s wholesale business in South East Asia and the Middle East at the end of 2016 and moved to Singapore.
He has since taken up a new role as global head of intermediary distribution – digital wealth, which will see him assume responsiblity for developing and implementing the firm’s digital wealth strategy.
Fidelity’s digital wealth management service Fidelity Wealth Expert was launched in Germany in October. This combines a digital advisory route with personal contact with Fidelity experts and client recommendations for an actively managed personal portfolio based on risk profile and long-term financial goals.
A spokesperson for Fidelity said: “Ben will be relocating to the UK in 2019 but has a global role.
“In his new role, Ben and the team will be exploring opportunities to build partnerships with organisations looking to access this digital wealth management expertise.”
Prior to his move to Singapore, Waterhouse spent six years as head of UK retail sales at Fidelity and 11 years as head of sales at Legal General Investment Management.
